We finished Rascal by Sterling North today. I'll never view raccoons the same way again! Daniel gets to choose the next book which we'll begin on Monday.
The tidy view of your dining room and the peek-a-boo view of the Christmas tree and the beginnings of carpet into the living room make me smile at your bold and brave accomplishments in your home. Sarah reading like that makes me smile...my mom used to read the paper in nearly the same position every night after work. And I love the post on Dan and his internal "products". Some plants spend a lot of time and energy putting their roots deep with very little "productivity" above ground. But they are often the sturdiest in the storms that come later!
@A Word of Art And you won't believe what we did today! We bulldozed and vacuumed at 4'x4' area in Daniel's room so I could get close enough to the wall to put up the art I removed from above the mantel. Whoohoooo!
You are so right...I think of bamboo...doesn't it spend 5 YEARS under the soil before any foliage or stem can be seen by the sun? I like that analogy, my sweet plant friend, good point!
